Stella Maris is an upscale boutique hotel situated on Bunatrahir Bay on the West Coast of Ireland in County Mayo. Built in 1853 as a Coast Guard fortress, Stella Maris Hotel offers guests a luxurious retreat from the tribulations of today’s pressure-filled world.

Stella Maris features a mesmerizing oceanfront conservatory that allows guests the opportunity to enjoy the majesty of the ever-changing Atlantic Ocean from the comfort of overstuffed chairs. The common areas of Stella Maris--including the restaurant, bar, lounge and conservatory—provide a casual and relaxed ambience for the comfort of guests.

The quaint hotel has maintained the integrity and character of the original building, while providing modern-day comforts and standards. Antique furnishings throughout Stella Maris are interspersed with contemporary features such as top-grade bedding and linens, high-pressure showers and modern bathrooms.

Stella Maris, which is Latin for “Star of the Sea,” nestles comfortably among some of Ireland’s most spectacular golf courses. While perfectly situated between the world-class links courses of Enniscrone and Carne, Stella Maris also is within comfortable range of Rosses Point and Westport.

Experience for yourself the beauty and tranquility of the Mayo coastline at Stella Maris.
